Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi is ‘close’ to penning a new five-year deal to stay at Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
The Chelsea Echo report the youngster will sign the long-term deal to commit his future to the Blues and put an end to rumours linking him with a move away in the summer.
Bayern Munich attempted to sign Hudson-Odoi in January with a series of bids but the Blues hierarchy stood firm on keeping the 18-year-old, whom they regard as one of the brightest prospects at the club.
Hudson-Odoi became an important member of boss Maurzio Sarri’s first-team before he ruptured his Achilles tendon in Chelsea’s match against Burnley last month.
It is said that assurances over his playing time in the first-team has convinced him he should stay with the club he has been with since the age of 8.
