Patrice Evra slammed by former Arsenal man Jeremie Aliadiere: ‘He sends a bad message to young people’

Former Arsenal star Jeremie Aliadiere has hit out at Patrice Evra for his behaviour on social media.

Evra, the ex-Manchester United defender, was accused of homophobia by Paris Saint-Germain after mocking the French champions over their Champions League exit.

In a video posted on social media on Monday, the Frenchman said: “This is Manchester. Stop going off on one [about PSG] and validating teams who will never win anything.

“Even my cousin who is in the front [of the car] is p***** off. Paris, you are some f****ts, some f****ts, I’m telling you. We [United] put our D team [against PSG] and we did you.

“Some kids played, they used to clean my boots. They don’t even have sperm [yet]. Paris, you are some p*****s.”

PSG strongly condemned Evra’s words and now fellow Frenchman Aliadiere has followed suit.

Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, the Arsenal ‘Invincible’ has accused his former France Under-21s team-mate of being a bad role model.

“I just can’t believe he’s done that,” he said.

“It’s completely unnecessary and there are young children that follow him on social media.

“That’s what these guys don’t realise – the image an the message they send kids – you tell them that it’s appropriate to say all them insults to Paris or whoever it is.

“He’s not someone that I’ve warmed to because I’m very respectful of everyone.

“We’re all human at the end of the day. I just feel that by being a footballer he feels like he’s untouchable and can do whatever he wants.

“There’s no problem with having an opinion but there’s a way of saying it.

“At the end of the day, it’s a football match. Man United won, well done, you’re an ex-Man United player.

“Just be humble. One day the wheel might turn and then in a year or so Paris might beat Man United and what are you going to get then?”

Evra issued an apology following PSG’s statement, claiming the French media have twisted his words.

He said: “I made a video as a joke, as a friend, and because I used the word [f****t], they [French media] translated as I am against the gay people.

“I’m not homophobic because you know who I am, I’m Mr I Love This Game, I love everyone.

“If I offend or hurt anyone, I really apologise but you know it was not my intention.”
