Manchester City celebration shirt: Premier League giants release Nike mash-up strip to pay homage to their best-loved kits from past six years

Manchester City and Nike have unveiled a new mash-up shirt that pays homage to some of the club’s kits from the past six years.

The Premier League club announced a new lucrative kit partnership with Puma, which comes into effect from the 2019/20 season.

But City and Nike have had one last hurrah by releasing a limited-edition shirt which combines nine shirts the Citizens have sported into one garish design.

The kits in the design include their home jersey from last season – when City racked up 100 points, a record tally in the Premier League – as well as the third shirt from their double winning campaign of 2013/14.

City stars Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones and homegrown talent Phil Foden modelled the new shirts.

On the new jersey, Foden said: “My personal favourite is the home shirt from last season, I made my debut wearing that so it means a lot to me.

“It’s great because the fans will be able to point out the jerseys and relive the memories created in them.”

FIFA fans will be able to select the shirt as a kit choice in FIFA Ultimate Team from mid-April.

There are just 6,000 units in total to purchase, which each one being individually numbered.

The shirt officially goes on sale on April 10 at mancity.com/shop at nike.com and at select retailers.
